Spring Projects to Help Our Community

In April, two of our HCA student leadership groups held fundraising events to benefit local organizations.

Under the direction and guidance of Mrs. Chaney Billips and Mrs. Erica Johnson, the Senior Beta Club partnered with our local Pregnancy Resource Center (PRC Medical) in raising funds to cover the cost of ultrasounds for expectant mothers. This service would normally cost each client $170; however, PRC Medical offers this and many other services free of charge with the help of donors.

The Beta Club's class contest at HCA raised a total of $2,220 and presented it to PRC Medical at their local clinic. The top three winners earned class parties and treats compliments of our Beta Club.

1st Place ................. 4th Grade with a total of $836.04

2nd Place ................ K4/K5 with a total of $304.10

3rd Place ................. 1st Grade with a total of $231.36

Our Chick-fil-A Leader Academy student members partnered with Bentley's Pet Stuff and the Douglas County Animal Shelter to hold this fun and rewarding event where a total of nine pets were adopted. Approximately 95 people attended the event despite rain that day!

Thank you to Mrs. Barbara DeLozier for her investment in our Chick-fil-A Leader Academy student members, and to our amazing local Chick-fil-A owner/operator Mike Moore.
