Harvester Christian Academy offers a technology program that starts in grade 4. Students begin learning the basics in keyboarding and Microsoft Office. As they rise through the grades, the program builds on the knowledge they've mastered so far. All students in grades 4--6 take Technology once per week. In grades 7--8, Computer Foundations is offered as an elective. Students will work on their keyboarding skills, as well as long-term projects that cover a variety of software programs. Projects include the "Young Entrepeneur" project, where students will create a small business and design a business plan. High school students are offered Intro to Computer Science, where they will hone their skills in a variety of areas, including HTML, CSS, Ruby, Java, SQL, Python,and MIT Scratch.
